about
This is Joseph Matthew Tate's website, or, as I'm known to family, friends, colleagues and coworkers: Jody. You can send an email to me using this form.
What's new, you ask? I have an essay published in Radiohead and Philosophy. Other new news: in the summer of 2009, I'll be teaching client-side web technologies (INFO 343) as a guest lecturer for UW's iSchool.
I live in Seattle, WA and work as an Interface Designer and Developer for the Network Management Tools Team of Network Systems at the University of Washington.
I received my Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Washington in August 2005. You can read my dissertation, Shakespeare, Prose and Verse: Unreadable Forms, as a PDF file (1.14mb file). It cures insomnia. I also edited The Music and Art of Radiohead in 2005.
I was born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1973, the year Picasso died and Foreman became champ.
I've tried to write poetry. Some of it has been published. The bulk of it has not.
My résumé is online here.
